Also it'd be lovely to find a mod that adds more turns on those missions that only allow like up to 8-12 turns to complete the entire mission. Oh wait, it's on the roof! Even though the animation makes it look they're on the floor. Since it seems like this game isn't nearly as infinite as XCOM1 (or finite, however you think of it) - I'm wondering if there is a mod that adds more consistent missions to continue to further reduce the Avatar Project (end game) progress.

Finally get there, baffled as to why I can't evac with 1 turn left. There's a mission that I've had five attempts at (again with a timer) where you need to get to an evac point (the blue smoke). They either need to be doubled or removed, they just make the campaign a complete chore.Įdit: Oh something else I want to have a moan about. It completely destroys the strategy aspect of the game because every mission seems to be the same - rush headlong into unexplored areas because you have 8 turns to get somewhere on the other side of the map and interact with an object that's guarded by two groups.Īt the start of the campaign it takes a good 2 turns at least to deal with a sectoid and 2 troopers. You have to sprint across the map to get anywhere close and then they also pack the levels with 3-4 groups of high-health enemies. The time limits on levels are way, way too short.
